Hi Kaspers! Today we vote for the proposal of creating a funding pool for Kasbridge implementation. Our community member <@961732366055915530> created a protocol for using Kaspa on other EVM blockchains like Ethereum by a multisignature (maintained by trusted community members) bridge, it will let us list Kaspa on DEXes like Uniswap or will let people hold Kaspa on EVM- wallets (i.e. Metamask). This proposal is for creating a funding pool that will be used as a grant for implementation of the said protocol, target value is 3M KAS <:kas:979006282734387210> Bridge creation stages and ETA: *— 1st stage:* a Ropsten <-> Kaspa Testnet bridge with test validators will be deployed, that'll be the milestone #1 and will take about 2 months; *— 2nd stage:* a Kaspa Mainnet <-> BNB Chain/Ethereum bridge (the exact target blockchain is to be decided by the community) will be deployed, that'll be the milestone #2 and will take about 1 more month after the 1st stage. The protocol is an open product of academic research, it belongs neither to Kaspa nor to us, it’s a standalone academic contribution. ---------- 1) Why do we need a 70M grant? We don't.. we will implement DAGKNIGHT either way, for free, because we believe in the utility of the protocol and want to see it implemented. ----------- 2) The 70M grant request is in case there’s community demand for us to shift our full time occupation to implement it. Shifting to full time involves a whole new set of considerations and risk factors, hence the ask. 3) If the grant request is not filled we will continue with the default path of implementing it for free on our own time. KDX 2.12.0 has been released and is downloadable at https://kdx.app/. It includes Kaspad 0.12.10. This release includes a few updates, such as the ability to lock the in-app wallet without exiting the KDX application (lock icon top/right of the wallet tab). PWA Wallet (web wallet at https://wallet.kaspanet.io/ that is also included inside KDX) has been updated as well. Wallet transaction entries are now linking to the corresponding transaction info on the explorer at https://explorer.kaspa.org/. The wallet now also uses the public archival node API server at https://api.kaspa.org/ to fetch transaction dates. Previous transaction dates are also updated (the process will occur automatically when opening the wallet after this update, but may take a few minutes to complete). All applications have also been updated to contain the latest Kaspa branding.
